Roger Fahr

|
Roger was born in Queens General Hospital, New York in 1966.
I spent the better part of my life growing on the streets of New
York. In the summer of 1978, we packed up and traveled
south to Maryland. We temporarily settled in Camp Springs,
and then in nearby Temple Hills. I graduated from Jr. and
Sr. High and attended college before heading out for the Navy.
I enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 19, and attended Boot
Camp at Great Lakes, Illinois. Shortly after camp, I met
my wife Suzanne, we were both attending school on base in
Millington, Tennessee. We were married in the spring of
1987, and we are blessed with four children, Rachael, Emilio,
Rebecca and Roger. I completed eight years of Naval
Service having served on the USS Ticonderoga, before deciding to
concentrate on my family and civilian career. Suzanne
continued her Naval career relocating us to Norfolk, Virginia
and Washington, DC. As we followed Suzanne during her
naval career, we found ourselves living in Woodbridge, Virginia,
followed by Annapolis, Maryland. Eventually we settled
here in Waldorf, where we have lived since 2002, where Suzanne
retired. We started a fresh new future, with many
unknowns, but we had each other. Not much later, God
started to call on us all and in due time, we all came to the
Lord. We started by attending the First Baptist Church of
St. Charles, where immediately we were made to feel like part of
the family. I was baptized in 2004, followed by our
children, where we became members and began serving. The
first ministry that I served in was the choir, and to this day,
continue to do so. Other ministries that I've had the
opportunity to serve in are Sunday School, Finance Committee,
Spanish Ministry, Vacation Bible School and Royal Ambassadors,
and currently as a Deacon. I am very grateful for the impact
the church has had on my life and that of my wife and children.
The experiences I have shared with my fellow Christians have
helped shape me into the man I am today. I want to thank
the Lord first, my family, and our church, for allowing me to
serve. |

Morley Krieger
301-645-3097 (Home)
240-508-5903 (Cell) |
Morley (the "Hugger" Deacon) was born in Fort Erie, Ontario,
Canada in 1943. At the age of 5, the family moved to
Buffalo, NY and started life in the U.S. In 1980, he moved
to Waldorf to become the Operations Director, helping to
complete the construction of St. Charles Towne Center Mall.
After several years with the mall, he went to work for Melwood
Horticultural Training Center as the Director of Facilities from
which he retired in 2009. Growing up in a strong Christian
home and prior to joining in the fellowship of FBCSC, he was of
the Methodies faith. Since joining FBCSC, he has been
involved as an user, trustee, Bible study teacher, Masters
Twelve program and a Deacon. Morley is married to Diane
Krieger for 46 years. Diane was born and raised in Fort

Ted Stolk
301-560-4872 (Home)
240-273-2497 (Cell) |
Ted was
born in the city of Arnhem, Holland on July 14, 1958. He married his wife,
Sophia in 1986. Not knowing what to do when he came out of school, he
started as a waiter in a newly opened restaurant at the age of 17. From
here, he never looked back. Ted worked in 12 different free-standing
restaurants in the next 10 years, before he accepted the position as a cook
at the Marriott hotel in Amsterdam. After being there for over 6 years and
being promoted to a supervisory position, Marriott moved Ted & Sophia to New
Orleans in 1989. This is where both their sons, Mark and Brian, were born.
From New Orleans, they moved a few more times and lived in Columbus, OH and
Buffalo, NY, before settling in Waldorf in 2001. After Ted worked at the
Walter Reed Army Medical Center as a contracting chef for 4 years, he had
the opportunity to become a Federal employee in that same position. In that
same period, the family started coming to this church and in 2005, Ted
accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. God has guided him from that
time on. Ted’s work at Walter Reed is very important to him as it is a
little of the help he can give our wounded warriors on the road to healing
and returning to their respective homes. Besides being a Deacon, Ted is also
the chef and a sound technician at the church. He is teaching God’s Word on
Wednesday nights and recently started leading the men’s ministry.

Dick Soule
301-645-9483 (Home)
301-752-3873 (Cell) |
Dick became a Deacon at FBCSC in 1985 and during the time at
FBCSC has served as Chairman of Deacons, Human Resource Committee Chairman,
on two Pastor Search Committees and numerous other committees and positions
in the church. His greatest joy was when he and his wife (Faith) worked
with the children in the church through the Goppet (Puppet) Ministry (20
years) spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ across Southern Maryland
Malls and Fair Grounds, to Kentucky and Rhode Island; even to the White
House visitors in Washington DC.
He is currently participating in the Masters 12 Discipleship
program and knows that
God
has blessed him and his family in many ways and serves at the
pleasure of God and the church.
His favorite scripture verse is Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) which
says; “For I know the
plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
future.”
Dick was born on 6 November 1942 and raised in the southern
tier of New York State his parents that took him to church; but never went.
He graduated from Waverly High School (1960) and later earned an Associate
of Science Degree from Mohegan Community College in Norwich, Connecticut.
He joined the Navy in June 1962 and married my wife (Faith) in May 1963.
They had three (3) children (Richard, Ron and Dianna) who are married and
have their own families.
He was first commissioned as a deacon in 1981 while attending
the Middletown Baptist Church in Rhode Island. He has completed an in depth
Discipleship program (Master Life). God continued to work in his life and
he was transferred to Washington, DC in 1983 where he served as the
Engineering Program Manager for all non nuclear surface ships afloat. In
August 1984 they bought their current home in Waldorf and began a search for
a church. After visiting a few churches they found that God in his
infinite wisdom had brought them to the First Baptist Church of St. Charles
He has traveled the world over while in the Navy and had many
interesting jobs including 5 years on recruiting duty, 2 years as criminal
investigator in Iceland, taught Naval Engineering curriculum for 3 years.
The first ship (USS Barry DD 933) he served on is currently in the Navy Yard
at Anacostia. He served as the Protestant Lay Leader and Command Senior
Chief Petty Officer onboard the USS Charles F. Adams (DDG 2). He also
served onboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CV 42) and USS Forrestal (CV
59).
He retired from the Navy on November 30, 1985 and worked as a
government contractor for 22 years and remains on the corporate employee
list (on call) even though retired on January 2008.
Your brother in Christ Jesus
